In Bytestown, a character isn’t locked inside the game you found it in. It’s an identity — and future Bytestown titles are being built so that, where supported, your characters can travel with you.

Cross-game support ships per title as each new world launches. Some characters, items or traits may translate differently between games — a runner in Neon Equation might appear as a pilot, a piece, or a companion elsewhere.

Your characters, actually yours

Some Bytestown characters can exist as digital collectibles — including as NFTs where supported. Here’s what that means in practice, and just as importantly, what it doesn’t.

    Play first, always. Every Bytestown game is fully playable without owning any collectible. Collectibles are about identity and continuity, not pay-to-win.

    Provable ownership. A collectible character is recorded as yours — you can hold it, display it, trade it or gift it where the platform allows.

    Built to travel. Where a future Bytestown game supports it, your character can be transferred or reused there — one purchase, many worlds.

    Not an investment. Collectibles are made for playing and collecting. We make no promises about resale value, returns, or future worth — buy one because you love the character.
